Hindenburg Skeleton

'Hindenburg Skeleton' is a 1:350 paper model of the Hindenburg airship's frame. It is a modification on a model by Yuriy Skylar. When building Yuriy's model, I found the paper parts too weak to support the shape of the frame. My solution was to copy the same structural engineering used on the full-sized airship.
I used tensioning wires to attach the paper rings to a central shaft. These wires had to follow a specific pattern to ensure even distribution of force. I then calculated the model's centre of gravity to perfectly balance it on a display stand.
